Doug was "born and raised" in Many, Louisiana, and has just recently moved back to Many to work for Peoples' State Bank. His father, Pete Abington, has served as Chairman of the Board for Peoples' State Bank since 1984.

Doug was previously employed as a commercial insurance producer for Wright & Percy Insurance in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is currently a Board member for the Sabine Parish Chamber of Commerce.

Nell Britner , Associate

Nell Britner has lived and worked in the Toledo Bend area for over twenty-five years. She has been employed at Peoples State Bank for seventeen years, and now serves as the Assistant to the Chairman of the Board, Pete Abington. Nell is a Notary Public, and is very active in community affairs. She currently serves on the Board of the Taylor House (shelter for abused women and children); Board of the Rotary Club of Many (past President), Board of the Sabine Parish Emergency Food and Shelter Committee, Steering Committee for the March of Dimes Walk America, Charter Board Member of the Sabine Parish Hall of Fame, Advisory Board of the Sabine Council On Aging, Advisory Board of the Toledo Bend Branch of Peoples State Bank, and serves as a Commissioner of the Sabine Parish Tourist Commission. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Sabine Parish Chamber of Commerce (past President), the Sabine Parish Planning Commission, and has served on the Town of Many Variance Board.
